Endodontic Treatments We Offer

LLU Faculty Endodontics offers comprehensive treatments for dental pulp issues. Common endodontic procedures include:

  • Root canal therapy
  • Nonsurgical endodontic treatment and retreatment
  • Apical surgery
  • Intentional replant
  • Auto-transplant

What is Endodontics?

Endodontics is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). Endodontics focuses specifically on the pulp (nerve) inside teeth. In the past, a tooth with damaged pulp would be removed. However, root canal therapy can now restore health to teeth that previously would have been extracted.

Reasons for Endodontic Treatment

You may be in need of endodontic treatment if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Swollen gums
  • Teeth that are extremely sensitive to hot and cold foods
  • Toothache
  • Tooth tenderness when chewing and/or biting
  • Tooth discoloration
  • Unexplained pain in nearby lymph nodes

These symptoms are typically indicative of the following conditions, however, you should speak with your dentist for a thorough diagnosis:
